WHAT ABOUT FINE FAN ART?

Well, there are lots of interesting points we can highlight about fan art, but essentially, here is the deal:

As a professional illustrator and painter, who has been working in comics industry for years, Cris Delara loves doing comic book covers.  Especially the ones that are related with portraiture and that features thematic elements for the character in question.

Her illustrations and painting skills on figurative subjects are impressive.  Human anatomy, animals, composition, design, color schemes, lighting, and the way she lays details on her artwork make all of them look like 3D, even if it is a pencil sketch.

Influenced by great traditional western artists, like, Elvgren, Leyandecker, Rockewell, Frazeta, Luis Royo, Drew Struzan, and others, she works every piece of fan art as a fine artwork, as those master did with their arts.

Cris favorite medium is oil, but her versatility allows her to work also with acrylics, pastels, watercolor pencils, markers (mixed media) for colors.  Her black and white skills with pencils and charcoal shows such depth and realism that entices our imagination.

It is a common reaction for her clients, private collectors who commission her, or fans that bought her paintings, to say that they look many times to her artwork and they notice something different in the painting.

But wait….. these paragraphs are supposed to say something about Fine Fan Art and since the beginning we are talking about the artist.

Yes, you have a point, but here is another point, the commitment and dedication of the artists to their artwork is what make the FINE aspect of it.

And that is the WHY we are highlighting Cris Delara’s skills and commitment in making the arts you will find in this blog: FINE fanart.

A simple comparison of this is when you go to a fine dinning restaurant to have a meal. Let’s suppose, you are having a medium rare steak.  Technically, since the steak was cooked up to 125°F to 130°F it is a medium rare steak.

Now, since the choice of the cut from the butcher, inspection/selection from the chef, quality of ingredients used to “marinate” it, if it was cooked by grill, pan seared, etc., the skill of the cook, the way it was fixed on the plate and garnished, plus the whole experience provided by the restaurant with the server, decoration, if it was paired with the right beverage (wine maybe), and etc., all that combined makes the restaurant a fine dinning place.  And all that fine dinning experience doesn’t need to cost and absurd of money, in fact it can be an affordable one.

Now, you say that you can have a great steak at home. Yes, I do not doubt that (steakwise speaking; is that possible?).  But it is a different experience and a completely different set up here.

Anyway, As said in the beginning, here is the deal, in this blog you will find affordable fine fan art done by a professional comic book artist.

Better prices, payment conditions, benefits, and rewards will be offered to those fans who decide to subscribe, follow, and support this blog.

Stay with us and everybody will get something good.  I can guarantee.
